About

Kathy Harber is founder and principal of Career Keys to Open Doors: Dynamic Résumés-Powerful Interviews with the simple mission: “To help people grow.”

She became interested in assisting people with résumés after reviewing well more than 2,500 of them over the last 10 to 12 years. The résumés came from applicants to the several mentoring and leadership programs she managed at her former company, and from regular job seekers. After finding fewer than 2% falling in the “effective” realm, she decided she could help.

Along with individual client consultation, she has developed a popular series of workshops on résumé writing and interviewing that have been delivered in several locations in Georgia, Alabama and Florida. Workshop feedback confirms the energy and enthusiasm Kathy brings to these sessions.

A Radio-TV graduate of Arizona State University, Kathy also holds a Masters of Journalism degree from The Ohio State University. Prior to her nearly 30 years in the corporate world, Kathy spent six years as a wire service and broadcast journalist.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of The National Résumé Writers Association and holds a Certified Manager designation from the National Management Association. She’s a long-time member of the Association of Women In Communications and a regular volunteer for Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, Refugee Family Services and the Center for the Visually Impaired.
